Invading The Limeys
One of the features of the Tweetscan RSS feed on this blog is documenting every mention of “Jakarta” by people using Twitter – which through one of the links, led me to this link. So, apparently there’s a slice of Jakarta, aptly named “Jakarta”, in London. An obviously unique Indonesian, Malaysian and Thai restaurant, it offers various dishes from the 3 countries, with decor and furnishings from Indonesia and Thailand. There are not many pictures of the restaurant on the website (exactly 1, actually) but I have a feeling they don’t have a big picture of Monas and Bang Yos in some corner. In fact, maybe some of the more ignorant patrons would think Jakarta is a part of Bali. Oh, don’t we all just wish.So at least a part of Jakarta is in London. Now, how can we export the traffic jams there? That would be an authentic Jakarta experience.
