I Beg Your Pardon

Notoriously, many people, whether beggars or not, try their luck at Jakarta to just simply ask for money to strangers during the fasting month, despite various restrictions from the government. During the Ramadhan month it is said every good deed brings multiple blessings compared to any other month, so there surely are a lot of people willing to give money. Personally I think giving money to beggars only encourages them to continue begging, instead of looking for another way for a proper living (and some actually make a good living out of begging they have no desire to work).So nearer to Eid-Ul-Fitr, the roads will be filled with beggars saying “I need food…”Shortly, Jakarta’s roads will be filled with people saying “I need votes……..”
